Federwho

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:30 pm by company

Ok, i’m sorry to do this but I can’t help it. It made me laugh.
I wandered over to the Rhapsody Radish and stumbled upon their post on Kevin Federline:

“+ Kevin Federline - Playing With Fire

Play It! I was going to review Kevin Federline’s debut album since he’s in the news with the divorce and all, but I found this video on YouTube that sums it up better than I could with 10,000 words.”

Visit their site to see the video. Speaks VOLUMES.

Classic from the Rhapsody Music Blog:

“C’mon Baby Let the Good Times Roll

The past few weeks I’ve been deep in the heart of New Orleans - not passed out on a Bourbon Street sidewalk (hic), but building Rhapsody’s just-launched Mardi Gras channel. While tapping my toes to brass bands, Crescent City keys and traditional Cajun & Zydeco, I’ve re-discovered the non-harmonizing wonder duo of Shirley & Lee amidst the pile of great classic New Orleans R&B. Check out Miss Shirley Mae Goodman’s sweet quaver on their 1956 hit “C’mon Baby Let the Good Times Roll.” A resolution-busting reminder that the good times of Mardi Gras are less than a month away (Feb. 20).

Play It Now”

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:55 pm by company

I’ve added a new flash video to www.RhapsodyisMusic.com.

It’s changed the feel of my site from a basic one to a more entertainment focused site. I hope it’s not too much. Please let me know what you think!

Cheers,

Justin Timbaland….

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:19 pm by company

Seems like JT may have been sampling without asking, much like Timbaland. This from the Beauty N The Beat. Have a listen to Kele Le Roc’s “My Love” below, then go to RhapsodyisMusic.com and listen to JT’s song. You be the judge:
May be old news to some. According to UK artist Kele Le Roc’s blog from her MySpace page, Justin Timberlake took her chorus from a song of hers titled “My Love (Garage 10 Below Mix)” that she recorded years ago. In light of that Kele decided to do her own remix of Justin’s “My Love” and she kept the exact same chorus she had on her original song of the same title so people can hear the similarities. Some of her fans advised her to sue him. For the moment she encourages people to download the song and add it to their profiles to spread the word. You be the judge. Thanks to Zoa.

James Brown - A Man of Funk

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:46 pm by company

It was a sad day when i learned the James Brown had passed. He was a man of pure funk.

From the Yahoo Music Blog:

“Damn. The Godfather’s Gone. If you haven’t yet heard then you probably don’t care, so I won’t bother repeating the news. Suffice it to say it was a sad, unfunky Christmas.”

Voices: Amy Winehouse

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:55 pm by company

This gal has a voice like no other. Max henderson From The Smoking Section says it best:
“I hear the specter of ghosts in some music. See the absence of it in others. When I hear Amy Winehouse I hear voices inside voices. Finding a gem like Amy Winehouse’s voice is like walking on the beach and finding a bottled letter washing back on the shore. Stepping back into time. A stone dropped in the pond moving inwards and outwards at the same time. I hear Etta James, Billie Holliday, Ma Rainey, Florence Ballard; I hear the sounds of Motown echoing back to me from somewhere lost in the wraps and folds of time.”

Have a listen to “You Know I’m No Good” with Ghostface and you’ll see what Max is talking about.
